10 months without a single post!

Sunday 6th January 2008
It’s 6th January 2008 and not a single posting to the blog since 11th March 2007 when we completed the final leg of the journey from Titford Pumphouse to Sawley Marina! Of course, this move was to enable me to use the boat as the “floating hotel” whilst at Rolls-Royce in Derby - a contract that was going to last for at least 12 months and possibly beyond.
The reason for the lack of posting is not because there has been nothing to write about. Indeed, far from it. Amongst the more notable things that have happened over the past 10 months; I have transferred from being a contractor to being a “permie” – now working for Ingres (www.ingres.com) as a Senior Consultant within their Premium Services team, the limited company (AuvergneITC) which we ran for over 10 years is now being wound down, the boat has been moved from Sawley to Packet Boat Marina, Uxbridge (www.bwml.co.uk), Mum and Dad almost bought a house around the corner from us (but are now moving to France!) and Natalie and Greg have made us Grandparents (baby Nia born Saturday 21st July)!
This milestone posting is being placed so that I can now fill in the gaps between March 2007 and January 2008. Nearly a whole year of diary notes and photographs – you have been warned!
